# How do I log in to the SILAB app?

To log in to the mobile app, **activate your account first** from the invitation email, **install the app** (Android or iPhone), then log in with **your email and password** or by **scanning your authentication QR code**.

1. **Activate your account**

   Click the link in the invitation email. During activation, you set the **password** you will use to log in.

2. **Download the SILAB app** from the [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lemoncorp.waterlook) (Android) or the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/silab/id6737241950) (iPhone).

3. **Choose how to log in**

   - **Email and password**: enter your credentials.
    - **QR code**: scan the authentication QR code from your personal space (see below).

:::tip[Stay logged in for a year]
Once logged in, you don't need to log in again every time: authentication stays valid for **1 year**.

## Log in with your authentication QR code

1. On the web portal, click the **SILAB logo** at the top right of the screen, then **Profile**.

2. Open the **Security** tab: your authentication QR code is displayed.

3. In the mobile app, tap **Scan** and point the camera at the QR code, keeping it centred. Try again if needed.

   Once the QR code is recognised, you are taken to one of the sites you are a member of.
