# How do I activate my SILAB account?

When an administrator (or another user) adds you to SILAB, you receive an **activation email**. Click **Activate your account**, create your password and complete your profile.

1. In the activation email, click **Activate your account**: the activation page opens.

2. **Create your password**, following these rules:

   | Rule | Requirement |
    | --- | --- |
    | Length | 8 characters minimum |
    | Uppercase letter | at least 1 |
    | Lowercase letter | at least 1 |
    | Special character | at least 1 |

3. Enter your **last name**, **first name** and **job title**, then click **Next**.

4. Choose a **picture** or a **colour** for your profile, then click **Finish**.

Some facilities' firewalls block the activation email. Check your spam folder, then write to [support@silab.cloud](mailto:support@silab.cloud) to request a **manual activation**.
