# How do I move a document?

Hover over the file, click the **three dots**, then **Move**, and choose the destination folder.

1. Open the **Documents** section.

2. Hover over the file and click the **three dots** on the right.

3. Select **Move**.

4. Choose the **destination folder**, then click **Move**.

A file moved into a folder with **restricted access** takes on **the same restrictions**.
