# How do I edit data that has already been recorded?

Open **Data → History**, then the **Editor**: you can correct the **date**, **time** and **value** of a piece of data.

:::note[Who can edit?]
Only **administrators** and the **person who recorded the data** can edit it. The **author** and **location** of a piece of data can never be changed.

1. Click **Data**, then **History**, and select the **Editor** button.

2. In the **Edit data** screen, change the **date and/or time** and the **value**.

Click **Filters and search** and specify the **building**, **area**, **floor** and **room**.
