# How do I import checkpoints from Excel?

The **Importer** creates (or updates) your checkpoints in bulk from an **Excel file**, up to **500 points per import**.

1. Open **Checkpoints**, then click **Importer**, at the top right.

2. Download the **Excel template** and fill it in with your equipment. You can also include existing equipment to **update** it.

3. Click **Upload your file** to import your Excel file.

4. Check the **import summary**: it compares the recorded or updated data with your file.

:::caution[500 points maximum]
An import cannot exceed **500 checkpoints**. Above that, split your file.
